This guide walks you through the full process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before You Start<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Your domain must be <strong>at least 60 days old<\/strong> and not recently transferred (ICANN policy)<\/li><li>The domain must be <strong>unlocked<\/strong> at your current registrar<\/li><li>You need the <strong>EPP\/Authorization code<\/strong> (also called transfer key or auth code) from your current registrar<\/li><li>Make sure <strong>WHOIS privacy<\/strong> is temporarily disabled so the transfer confirmation email reaches you<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Unlock the Domain at Your Current Registrar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Log in to your current registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.) and find the domain lock setting. It will be emailed to the domain&#8217;s registrant email address. You&#8217;ll receive a confirmation email from Veerhost once the domain is in your account.
