How to Set Up VeerHost Email on Android and iPhone

Estimated reading: 2 minutes

Overview

You can check and send your VeerHost email directly from your phone using any mail app that supports IMAP or SMTP — such as Gmail (Android), Apple Mail (iPhone), or third-party apps like Outlook Mobile. This guide covers both Android and iPhone setup.

Your Email Settings

Use these settings for your VeerHost email account. Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name and [email protected] with your full email address.

Setup on iPhone (Apple Mail)

  1. Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account.
  2. Tap Other, then Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your Name, Email, Password, and a Description (e.g., “Work Email”).
  4. Tap Next. Select IMAP.
  5. Under Incoming Mail Server:
    • Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
    • Username: your full email address
    • Password: your email password
  6. Under Outgoing Mail Server:
    • Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
    • Username: your full email address
    • Password: your email password
  7. Tap Next — iPhone will verify the settings.
  8. Tap Save.

Setup on Android (Gmail App)

  1. Open the Gmail app and tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  2. Tap Add another account.
  3. Select Other (not Google, not Outlook).
  4. Enter your full email address and tap Next.
  5. Select Personal (IMAP).
  6. Enter your email password and tap Next.
  7. Under Incoming Server Settings, set the server to mail.yourdomain.com and port to 993 with SSL/TLS.
  8. Under Outgoing Server Settings, set the server to mail.yourdomain.com and port to 465 with SSL/TLS.
  9. Tap Next, then set sync options and tap Done.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot connect / authentication failed: Double-check your password. You can reset it via cPanel → Email Accounts → Manage.
  • SSL certificate error: If your domain does not have SSL yet, try port 143 (IMAP) and 587 (SMTP) with STARTTLS instead, or use the server hostname instead of your domain name. See our guide on enabling free SSL in cPanel.
  • Emails not sending: Make sure your SMTP settings are correct and port 465 or 587 is being used. Some mobile carriers block port 25.
  • Mail app keeps asking for password: The password may have been changed. Update it in your phone’s account settings.
